Lucirose, Fairy Oracle

Lucirose

Lucirose began life as an ordinary fae named Hemlock on the faerie ancestral planet. In grubhood, Hemlock awoke to oracular abilities and helped create the ultimate weapon, the Faerie Flame. After learning to control the flame within himself, he became the first Great Fairy and gave himself a new name: Lucirose the Oracle.

The creation of Faerie Flame led to much strife and disagreements in fae society. After absconding with the Faerie Flame and a small group of fae, Lucirose, the flame, and his people fled the ancestral planet into deep space inside of an Egg Vessel. After evading the Nymphadores sent by the Ancestors, Lucirose’s Egg plummeted toward primordial Earth.

Here, Lucirose the Oracle was bestowed the land of Faewyld with his betrothed, King Euphoria. In this secret part of the planet, he established a close council to watch over the Faerie Flame and research how to destroy it.

Wisteria, the Faedog

Wisteria

The Royal Lullabard of the king of the Meadow, Narcissus. Wisteria posseses the most lovely of fairy voices, and his gentle paws pluck his lyre like no other in the Meadow.

Wisteria assists the Great Fairies with getting and staying asleep with his music. He also helps the creatures of the forest to hibernate should they have any difficulty. He is good friends with the sword-trainer fairy, Helianthus. Wisteria also spends time teaching Hollow how to sing and play the lyre.

“You must sleep now, silly mortals. This is a fairy-only discussion.”

Mumford, the Little Lion Man I can’t get enough of.

Mumford the Lion Man on a bike ride, 2023

He’s essentially a hate-character I made. His whole thing is that he’s extremely into the band Mumford and Sons, and shout-stomp-clamp “folk” music in general. He’s unapologetically twee, and insufferably kind. He’ll probably invite you back to his cramped little apartment to listen to music, and touch his soft butt. I affectionately refer to him as an “older twink”, since he’s in his thirties. Oh, we an only hope to know someone as effortlessly charming as he.

“Mumford the Lion Man” 2023

“HEY” 2023

Recently, I teamed up with a buddy of mine in LA to make some risograph prints of Mumford. While they didn’t go exactly as planned, due to me not knowing the quirks of riso printing, the end result is desirable nonetheless. Printed on vellum cardstock, the prints have a timeless and vintage quality. They kinda feel like giant plastic playing cards!

Inkjet versions on heavy cardstock were also made. They’re more true to digital. I find the riso is more fluorescent.

I’m gonna throw this and other prints in my shop shortly. I’m entering this exciting new era where I’m making lots of printed media, it’s very cool for me being a digital artist to see my work all physical and whatnot.

Thanks for reading about my twink.
